Say what you want about Timex, I don't care. I love 'em. Luuuuuuuuuvvvvvvv 'em!
In my not-so-humble opinion, Timex watches run longer, hold up better, and come in more interesting and creative designs than many watches ten times the price.
Here is a great example. This is a ladies' Timex windup. I have no idea when it was made, though I would guess it to be sometime pre-1975 or so.
The case is not in perfect condition. However, it's not in terrible condition. It is in "loved" condition. The crystal has a few minor scratches and I have no clue if the band is original, but the face is in terrific condition. I mean, look at the red; it's absolutely brilliant. I've never seen this particular shade before. So deep. So rich. So shiny.
And, look at the crown. See how it's sort of segmented around the outside? Isn't that just the coolest? I think so.
This baby winds and runs like it was just made two minutes ago. Fresh delivered from the belly of Mama Timex, so to speak. I can only hope I run so well when I'm older, though things aren't looking too good.
You have to like this watch. About this there can be no dispute. It is impossible not to like it.

Really, If you don't like it, there is something wrong with you. If you don't like it, you are so dumb and your face looks like the butt of one of those monkeys that look like regular monkeys except when they turn around they have those bright red butts that are so gross and hilarious looking, and your breath smells like a buzzard's butt, which I've heard is like, real stinky. Also, you can never be on any of those shows where they take losers who dress funny and turn them into losers who still dress funny only in more expensive clothes because anyone who doesn't like this watch has proved they have no taste at all and are beyond even the help of those gay guys who remake straight guys to look like gay guys and whatever the equivalent is for women.
So there.

I don't have a clue what the squiggly symbol is at the twelve o'clock position, but I like the watch. A lot.
